ALENIA (2) pushed forward from a wide draw last time and found the front, leading around the bend but capitulating to finish ninth over 6½f at Canberra. Among the top chances and will give a sight. DIRECT FIRE (6) ran below expectations last time at Moruya, finishing ninth and beaten 5.5 lengths starting at 2/1. Nicely placed to turn things around. TOLIMA (4) progressed nicely last time out to finish just a head from the winner in second over 6½f at Moruya after being prominent at the turn. Looks well placed so expect another big run. ARABIAN SOO (5) raced on the speed from the outset and went to score by 2.25 lengths on debut last start over 6f at Wagga Riverside. Can sneak into the finish again.
