LAKE FOREST (7) stayed on strongly finishing second in the G1 Commonwealth Cup before a runner-up effort in the 6f G3 Hackwood Stakes at this venue in July. Looked to be in need of 7f both starts and can take this out before stepping back up in grade. The talented yet frustrating NOSTRUM (3) finished runner-up in the G3 Criterion Stakes at Newmarket (July) during June and is surely capable of going close if putting it all together. JUMBY (2) would hold strong form claims on his narrow third in the G2 Hungerford Stakes here in a. ENGLISH OAK (1) and WITCH HUNTER (5) also contested the previously mentioned course G2 and are considered.
