KAIDO (5) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 2.75 lengths away in fourth last time out over 5f at Moe. Meets some better types this time but a win is not out of the question. DENIRRA (7) finished fifth over 5½f at Moe when resuming last start, beaten only 0.7 lengths. Has a fair record when second up, including three top-three finishes. Meets some better types this time but she can bounce back. NAMASKA (11) got off the mark over 6f22yards at Geelong last start, scoring by half a length. Beau Mertens was in the saddle on that occasion and retains the mount. Harder this time but still one to consider. THINKING RAIN (12) is fresh from a lay-off of six months and did hit the frame when last resuming at Hawkesbury over 5f. In a different yard now.
