O SHAUGHESEY (4) made progress last time out, finishing 6 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 6f at this track after being prominent at the corner. Likely improver with strong prospects. KINGDOM QUEEN (8) finished a 17 length fifth when resuming two runs back on a dirt track at this track over 5½f. Followed that up with an unplaced effort on turf at Delaware Park over 5f. Change of rider to L A Batista who has never been out of the money in three rides, including a win. Fitter and poses a big threat. VARTON (7) was in great form at the end of the last campaign with back-to-back wins, the latest over 5½f at Thistledown five months ago. Should be poised just off the lead. Not to be discounted.
