TOP CALIBRE (4) is a boom four-year-old gelding yet to taste defeat in two runs, the most recent win by one length over 6f at Morphettville. Kept fresh for this and looks the testing material again. FLYING MIKKI (1) got the job done last start at Moe over 6f after he was in the firing line on the corner. Has never been out of the money in five starts at this trip, including four wins. Will find this tougher but he is a leading contender. SCHRODER'S MISTAKE (7) produced a reasonable effort after being prominent at the bend to finish 1.2 lengths away in second last start over 6¼f at this track. That followed a win on debut at Morphettville. Nicely placed to return to winning form. HALLSTATT (8) drifted well back last start before winding up strongly to finish third, beaten 1.1 lengths, over 6¼f at this track. Form at this track is solid. Must be respected.
