Sound record at this distance with five wins and four minor placings from 11 runs and is a leading contender. Australian Guineas winner SOUTHPORT TYCOON (4) has been freshened since finishing fifth over 6f in the G3 Show County Quality at Randwick. Filled a placing in a recent Cranbourne trial. One of the leading contenders. Multiple Group 3 winner GROWING EMPIRE (12) raced on the speed from the outset and went to score by 1.3 lengths last time over 5½f in the LR Poseidon Stakes at Flemington. Sure to give a great sight. Blue Diamond Stakes winner HAYASUGI (13) drifted well back when resuming last start before winding up strongly to just miss when second over 5f in the G1 Moir Stakes at this track. Expected to feature again.
