PERICLES (2) multiple Group 2 winner. Raced on the speed from the outset when resuming last start and finished third, beaten 0.8 lengths, over 7f in the G2 PB Lawrence Stakes at Caulfield. This is an easier assignment and can get the job done. Group 2 placegetter DEVOTED (11) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fourth, beaten 2 lengths, over 1m at Caulfield. Will go forward and is expected to be in the finish. Group 3 winner MUNHAMEK (4) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1m1/2f at Caulfield, clocking in half a length from the winner. Sure to measure up. Toorak Handicap winner ATTRITION (1) came home strongly last start to finish second, beaten a long neck, over 7f at Morphettville Parks when resuming after a lay-off. Beau Mertens sticks. Can play a role in the finish.
