FIRM AS A ROCK (9) failed to run a strong 1m last start after a close third over 7f at this track the run prior. Better suited at this shorter trip so should prove tough to beat. DON'T TELL SHERIFF (7) was in the money two starts back at Narrandera but was unable to repeat the effort last time when eighth, beaten 8 lengths, at Warracknabeal over 6f. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. BUNJIL (2) was well in commission last start over 1m at Warracknabeal when second, beaten 2.25 lengths. Commendable record at this trip with a win and five minor placings and should be involved in the finish. EFFORT (11) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when eighth over 7f at Berrigan. Steps up a level but he is good enough to take this out.
