PERFECT SPEIGHTY (2) is a eight-year-old import having his first run for the Kevin Buttigieg barn. Hasn't raced since he finished 12th over 1m1/2f at Woodbine four months ago. Not seen at the trials but he should prove tough to beat. POSEIDON'S SON (5) had been rock-solid with five placings in a row before finishing fourth over 6f at this track last start. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Leading contender. KERANOS (7) was safely held when fifth last time out over 6f at this track, beaten 6 lengths. That followed a win at this track at the previous outing. Has a good record at this course and distance, including three wins. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. MALIBU CLASSIC (3) ran a better race last start to finish a close second over 5½f at this track after missing the placings at the previous appearance. Another forward showing is anticipated.
