BOBBY BRINKLEY (7) was sent out favourite last time and scored by half a length at this track (Dirt). Boasts three wins here. Has the pace to be in a prominent position from the outset. One of the main contenders. EMPERADOR (3) was comfortably accounted for when fourth last time out over 6½f at Sam Houston Park, beaten 5.5 lengths, after a win at Sam Houston Park at the previous outing. Well placed and can make amends.
