GODFATHER (1) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by 0.7 lengths over 5½f at Ipswich. Will be better for that latest run and looms as the one to beat again. MAJORELLE (2) found a couple better last start at Murwillumbah over 6f after he was prominent at the corner. Boasts excellent form at this trip with four wins from four starts. Should be prominent from the outset. Best form puts him right in this. LADY WARDELL (6) has progressed nicely in her last couple of runs. Finished third at Doomben two starts back then got the job done by 2 lengths last time out over 6f at Murwillumbah. Has the class to take this out. HAURAKI GULF (7) was in the firing line on the turn and finished second last start over 5f at Coffs Harbour, beaten 1.75 lengths. Placed to advantage so expect a big run.
