METAL ROCK (2) was comfortably accounted for when fifth last start over 7f at Gatton, beaten 5.5 lengths. That followed a good when resuming win at Gatton. Likely improver with strong prospects. SHOWMAN (4) started favourite when resuming but found a couple better over 6½f at Coffs Harbour. Yet to miss the frame over this longer journey. Should be in the finish again. MAURIZMA (14) accounted for a maiden field over 1m at Ballina last start, finishing 0.7 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. This is tougher but she is capable of another big run. HILL BILLY FLYER (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 7f at Eagle Farm, beaten 3.5 lengths into fourth. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
