WALTER SPUR (2) was far too good when resuming last start when he scored by 5 lengths over 5f at this track. Fitter for that last hitout and is the testing material. SCREAM (4) missed the frame but not disgraced in town when fourth at Moonee Valley. Returns to home track this time. Will appreciate a drop in grade. Sure to go well. FLYING FINCH (5) was safely held when ninth last start over 4¾f at Moonee Valley, beaten 10 lengths. That followed a good when resuming win at Swan Hill. Finds a suitable race and can get the job done. COUNT NICHOLAS (1) was well in commission last time but ran below expectations when eighth and beaten 5 lengths over 5f at Corowa. Best figures too good to ignore.
