CHARLIE'S CASE (9) closed off strongly last start to get up for third, beaten 1.3 lengths, over 6¾f at Doomben when coming back from a lay-off. Will drift back but wind up late. Leading contender. HOLLYWOOD NORTH (1) resumed two-and-a-half weeks ago over 6f at Eagle Farm and was only beaten 1.5 lengths into fifth. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Finds the right race this time and can get the job done. FLYING ROTHE (5) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 2.5 lengths into sixth over 6¾f at Doomben. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. CRAZY BRAVE (7) improved sharply last time out to score by a nose over 7f at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago. Finds a suitable race and can figure in the finish.
