Group 3 winner MAGIC MICHAEL (7) finished second two runs back at Listed level at this track (Dirt) then improved last time out to score by one length as public elect over 1m1f at Pimlico (Dirt). Nicely placed to go back-to-back. SHAFT'S BULLET (3) finished fifth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at Delaware Park, beaten 3 lengths. Must raise the bar but another big run is on the cards. BE BETTER (6) got well back over 1m1 1/2f in the G3 Pimlico Special (Dirt) last time and never threatened, eventually finishing 10 lengths away in fifth. Finds a suitable assignment and can find winning form. BOSS LOGIC (8) was prominent at the turn and finished third last time over 1m1f at Pimlico (Dirt) when resuming from a lay-off, beaten 2.5 lengths. Has a good record at this course and distance, including a win and two minor placings. Hard to beat in this suitable race.
