GOLD SMOKE (5) was in contention all the way and fought on for second last start over 6f at this track (Dirt), making it two minor placings in a row. Nicely placed to give this a mighty shake. BLUE NORTHER (9) improved sharply on his sixth two starts back at this track (Dirt) with a win over 6f at this track (Dirt) two-and-a-half weeks ago, getting home by 1.3 lengths after being prominent at the corner. No reason he cannot salute again. MAPACHE G (1) met with solid support last start over 1m at this track (Dirt) when third, beaten 4.5 lengths. Has a good association with V Santiago with a run of three top-three results. One of the main contenders. HANDSOFFTHEGOODS (4) was a determined winner two runs back then drifted back last time and finished 10 lengths away in seventh over 5½f at Horseshoe Indianapolis (Dirt). Backmarker who keeps coming. Must be respected.
