ELEGANTLY WRITTEN (2) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start when she was always well out of her ground over 7f32yards at Hobart, beaten 5.5 lengths into sixth. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. LOVE NEST (4) turned in a fine effort to score by 1.3 lengths at this track and distance last start in a much improved run. Likely to be there at the finish again. CORSA VELOCE (5) got off the mark when resuming from a lay-off over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic last start, scoring by 1.5 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped. SYRUP (9) made progress last time out, finishing 2 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 7f at this track. Capable of featuring prominently.
