WINCHESTER RIFLE (10) steps up in trip and is backing up seven days after finishing second at this track. Nice run last time and is expected to go well again. WINNING WITNESS (7) was far from disgraced when third last start after being in the firing line on the corner over 5¾f at Devonport Synthetic, beaten 1.5 lengths. That followed a win at Hobart the start prior. Has raced four times here and has never missed the frame. Has her share of ability. Hard to beat in this suitable race. RING OF HONOUR (6) was sent out at long odds last time but ran above expectations to finish third, beaten only half a length, over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Expected to be in the finish again. FLIGHT READY (9) returned from a lay-off two-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 2.5 lengths into fifth over 5¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Fitter this time will prove harder to beat.
