MONCLERE (13) started at 4/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing eighth and beaten 8 lengths at Devonport Synthetic over 6¾f. Nicely placed to bounce back. RICH GLOW (4) resumes from a lay-off of three months. Looked close to a win before that break, finishing off with a minor placing over 6¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Good effort to kick-off last prep when in the money at Devonport Synthetic over 5f. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Launceston trial. Has ability and is a solid chance. SAY IT WITH WORDS (9) returns after six-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a fifth over 5½f at Hobart. Should present well following a recent trial win. Rates highly on best figures and should be right in this. HALEN (7) resumes from a lay-off of four-and-a-half months. Could only manage to finish fifth at the latest run over 5¾f at Devonport Synthetic. Looks ready to run following a minor placing in a recent Longford trial. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
