WILLIE JOHN (4) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 2 lengths from the winner in third over 1m1f at this track. Likely improver with strong prospects. NORDIC CHIEF (9) did little and finished 5 lengths from the winner in sixth over 1m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his fifth at Durbanville the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. STRATHCLYDE (3) resumes after a break of ten weeks. Hoping for a repeat of his debut win over 6f at Scottsville to kick off last prep. Sure to make his presence felt.
