THE ACT (2) was prominent from the outset on debut last start and held on well for third, beaten 0.8 lengths, over 5½f at Wyong. Should improve sharply and this looks a nice race. MONTE BRAVEHEART (4) finished third over 1m at this track at his most recent appearance on May 18. Rates highly and should take some beating. AUSBRED MIMOSA (3) showed good early speed and raced on the pace last start before fading to finish fifth, beaten 3 lengths, over 6¼f at Newcastle. Must be included among the main hopes. DRESSED IN GRAY (7) returns after five months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a ninth over 6f at Gosford. Launched last prep with a minor placing at Hawkesbury over 5½f. Placed in a recent trial. Rates highly on best form and should be in the mix.
