DATE WITHTHE DEVIL (4) finished third, beaten 2 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6½f at Northam after he worked home well. Nicely placed to take this out. DE ZANE GREY (1) has put together back-to-back placings, the latest when 0.6 lengths away in second over 1m at this track when he was always up in the leading division. Has his share of talent. Hard to beat in this suitable race. CHOIXRISKA (3) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 2.25 lengths, over 1m at this track. Should prove tough to hold out. WINEACLOCKSUMWHERE (12) wasn't far away on debut last start over 5f at Northam, finishing fourth and beaten 4.5 lengths. Open to plenty of improvement.
