SMELTER (2) was well fancied last start over 1m2f at Gold Coast Poly when second, beaten 4.5 lengths. Blinkers go on. Looks a top chance. MAJESTIC ANGEL (5) was prominent into the straight last time but faltered late to finish fifth over 1m3f at Gold Coast. Rates highly in this field and can turn things around. NOT A SINGLE DRINK (1) finished fourth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 1m2 1/4f at Doomben, beaten 1.3 lengths. Finds an easier assignment and can get the job done. LADY MATILDA (4) could only manage to finish fourth, beaten 7 lengths, at her latest appearance over 1m3f at Gold Coast after she was well back on straightening. Worth plenty of thought.
