GENERAL ASSEMBLY (5) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing third last time when he was always up in the leading division over 1m at Launceston. This looks a sterner test than last time but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. FAKE MAGIC (3) showed good early pace over 7f at Launceston last time and kept going to score by a neck. Will be handy in transit despite the tricky draw. Facing a tougher assignment but he is up to the task. SIR SIMON (1) was well below best last time when fifth at Devonport Synthetic but change of rider. Should be right in this on best form. ROYAL AND TOUGH (8) finished third last start over 5f130yards at Launceston when he did his best work late, beaten 0.9 lengths. Will benefit from that outing. Placed to advantage and can feature in the finish.
