AFRIDI (7) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with just two wins from 24 starts. Again tasted defeat last start when fifth over 1m2 3/4f at Launceston, beaten 1.75 lengths. Nicely placed to figure in the outcome. DALTON DANCER (1) is in top form this campaign, including a head win over 1m at Launceston last time and making it two in a row. Hard to knock recent runs and looks a definite winning hope again. NAMABAALE (3) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.4 lengths from the winner in third over 1m2 3/4f at Launceston after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. PAGE (5) was unplaced two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m2 3/4f at Launceston, beaten 12 lengths into seventh. Has her share of talent and is a top-three prospect.
