BLONDE STAR (7) was fourth on debut then ran a better race to finish second last time, beaten 3 lengths over 5f130yards at Launceston. Has ability and is among the leading hopes. ROLLING IN IT (6) made progress last time out, finishing 3 lengths from the winner in third at the end of 5f130yards at Launceston after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable race and can build on that solid recent effort. KAGISO (3) missed the placings on debut two starts back then ran a better race when he worked home well and finished 2.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 5½f at this track. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. ALPINE EDWARD (2) returns after four-and-a-half months in the paddock. Closed the last campaign with a tenth over 7f at Launceston. Tuned up with a sixth in a recent trial at Hobart. Solid top-three hope.
