HIGHLAND EIGHTGEE (9) resumed from a lay-off last start with a sound second over 6f at Kembla Grange after being in contention on the turn. Hard to beat in this suitable race. RENNATA (5) came home strongly last start to finish third, beaten one length, over 6½f at Coonamble. Backmarker who gets home hard. Will be tough to hold out. JARED (2) started at 3/1 last time and ran below expectations, finishing fifth and beaten 3 lengths at Port Macquarie over 6f after being in contention on the corner. Finds a nice race and can turn things around. LUCKY FORCE (1) gave a great sight when resuming last time over 6f at Newcastle when he raced up on the pace and fought on gamely only to be narrowly beaten. Will put himself in the race again and is sure to take some catching.
