Group 2 placegetter KINGMAX (10) settled well back then picked up fairly well in the straight and finished 3.5 lengths away in seventh last time out over 1m1f at this track five weeks ago. Steps up in journey. Winning rider David Egan sticks. Should be in the finish. Group 3 winner DYNADRIVE (6) was an impressive winner last time over 1m4f in the G3 John B. Connally Turf Cup at Sam Houston Park (Turf), stalking the pace before lengthening nicely to score by 4 lengths. Stiffer assignment here but he is right in this. Group 2 winner MAIN EVENT (1) has been kept fresh since finishing 11th over 1m1f in the G1 Pegasus World Cup Turf at this track (Turf) five weeks ago. Was a determined winner two starts back. Has a very good record here with three wins from five starts. One of the contenders. Group 3 winner ANGLOPHILE (2) missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 3.5 lengths away in sixth over 1m4f at this track. Finds a nice race and can atone.
