ITALIAN AWARD (7) raced on the speed from the outset last start and finished third, beaten 1.1 lengths, over 7f152yards at Gold Coast Poly. Nicely placed to go a couple better. DARKENED DESTINY (6) found one marginally better last start over 6¾f at Ipswich after being prominent throughout. Can spear over from a wide draw. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. VERMEER (1) is a three-start maiden who could only manage to finish seventh at his latest appearance over 1m1/2f at Gold Coast. Suited in this line up and is among the better hopes. VACATION LEAVE (4) was prominent at the bend and finished third last time over 1m1/2f at Gold Coast, beaten a long neck. Likely improver with bright prospects.
