CONNERY (4) returned from a lay-off last start with a strong win by 2.25 lengths over 5½f at Scottsville. Will be better for that latest run and will be a tough nut to crack again. MASK ON (2) has been thereabouts lately without being able to break through, the latest effort a third at Scottsville over 5f. Has a win and three minor placings from six starts at this track and distance. Sure to run well. INTREPID (1) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 5f at Greyville, beaten 2.75 lengths into sixth. Perfectly placed and is sure to give this a mighty shake. GRIFFIN PARK (8) returned from a lay-off six-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 2 lengths into fourth over 5f at Greyville. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time.
