CANTANKEROUS (4) is a two-start maiden who placed on debut then could only manage seventh last start, beaten 8 lengths over 5½f at Doomben. Looks well placed and is worth another chance. FORTHEO (1) is a three-start maiden who finished seventh, beaten 8 lengths, when resuming from a lay-off last start over 6f at Port Macquarie. Will take a lot from that hit-out and looks a strong chance to break through. CRAZY MIKKI (6) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2.75 lengths when fourth in a 5f contest at Taree two-and-a-half weeks ago. Best figures measure up nicely. Sure to run well. DIAMONDSAREMIO (7) ran below expectations last start, finishing ninth and beaten 7 lengths at Port Macquarie over 5f. Looks well placed so expect a better run this time.
