SOUTH BOAMBEE (9) recorded a gutsy maiden victory last time out over 5f21yards at this track, scoring by a long neck. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Shaping up nicely and he is a leading contender. SPRING EAGLE (1) has been out of the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when sixth, beaten 6 lengths, over 6f at Pakenham after he travelled towards the rear of the field. Should be peaking now and looks a clear threat. JEUNE DREAMON (10) missed the placings two starts back then ran a better race and finished 3.5 lengths away in sixth last time out over 5f at Taree.
