SENESCHAL (7) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6¾f at Doomben, beaten 2 lengths after being in the firing line on the bend. Meeting a deeper field this time but he is good enough to play a major role. HYDE (1) turned in a sound effort last time but found a couple better at Doomben over 1m, beaten 0.8 lengths. Cherry-ripe now. Will find this easier than last start. Likely to feature. DIANA'S AFFAIR (13) is close to breaking through, last start finishing just a neck away in second over 1m1f at Sunshine Coast after being in the firing line all the way. Drawn for a good trail just off the pace. It doesn't get any easier but on his best form he is capable of a big performance. PATMOS ISLAND (2) was beaten 2.25 lengths into fifth over 1m at Doomben last time out. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
