PLATINUM SHOT (5) turned in a nice effort to score two runs ago at Albany. Not as effective last time out when fourth over 5½f at Bunbury, beaten 4 lengths after being in contention on the bend. Has the class to find the winners' list. CLEVER COMBAT (3) broke his maiden last start over 6f at Mt Barker, scoring by one length. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Capable of making it two on the trot. FINE LINE (8) was out of the money two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 6f at this track, beaten 4.5 lengths into seventh. Finds a nice race and can play a significant role. LA PATRONA (9) showed good early dash and raced on the speed last start before fading to finish 5.5 lengths back in fifth over 7f at this track. Solid top-three prospects.
