LAVALIER (1) was allowed to drift back from an outside draw last time but found the line strongly to finish fifth, beaten 3.5 lengths, over 1m1f in the LR Super Impose Stakes at Flemington. Look for another barnstorming finish. OXFORD BLUE (3) was less than a length from the winner in third at Sandown-Hillside on debut before breaking through for a strong win over 1m3/4f at Sale last start. Capable of further improvement and can go on with the job. SAINT EMILION (5) accounted for a maiden field over 1m at Goulburn last start, finishing 1.75 lengths ahead of the nearest rival. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Tougher task this time but expected to be competitive again. TRUTH OR DARE (2) was safely held last time in a tougher race, finishing eighth over 1m1f in the LR Super Impose Stakes at Flemington. One of the contenders with the blinkers added.
