TORBELO (8) turned in an eye-catching run last time out over 1m3f at Pakenham Synthetic, charging home from well back to finish 0.7 lengths away in third. Yet to find winning form this prep but has been thereabouts with three placings from five starts. Should prove tough to beat. AVENUES (1) has not been far away lately, most recently finishing second over 1m3f at Pakenham Synthetic. Strong winning chance over a bit more ground this time. SPECKY BOY (6) turned in a decent effort last start to finish second over 1m4f at Bendigo. Has the class to take care of this field. WET 'N' DRY (9) finished 7 lengths from the winner in seventh at his most recent outing over 1m3f at Pakenham Synthetic after he was well back on straightening. Among the better chances in what looks a nice race.
