EYE OF THE EAGLE (4) was returning from a break last time out and proved too classy, scoring by a neck over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside. Will be better for that latest run and he looks hard to stop again. HAZEL BABY (13) finished 7 lengths adrift in tenth last time at Caulfield after being prominent at the bend in a disappointing performance. Beautifully placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. HUGHES (7) had been threatening before breaking through for a deserved win last time over 7f at Sandown-Lakeside, scoring by a nose. Sound record at this distance with two wins and four minor placings from eight runs and is expected to be competitive. STRUCK GOLD (9) scored last start at Morphettville Parks to make it two wins from four starts this campaign. Going well and should be in the finish again.
