GOLD FOR AFRICA (4) improved last start to finish third over 1m1 1/2f at this track. Suitably placed so anticipating another big run. ST CLOUD (5) started at 11/4 last time but could only manage eighth, beaten 5.5 lengths, at Fairview over 1m1 1/2f. Has the gate speed to take up a forward position. Likely to feature. HEAD GARDENER (8) turned in a fair effort at Greyville All Weather over 1m1f at his last run three-and-a-half months ago, finishing fourth and beaten 2 lengths. Has switched to the Gavin Smith stable. Comes here with definite top-three claims. FUJISAN (6) proved too strong two runs ago but was not as effective last time out when fourth over 1m at Fairview, beaten 3 lengths. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
