EIGHT MAY (2) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at this track, beaten 5 lengths after being in contention on the corner. Finds a more suitable contest and can get the job done. NEAP TIDE (7) tackled a dirt track for the first time last over this course and distance, finishing 21 lengths from the winner in seventh. Expect he will go on with the job. KNUCKLE (6) could only manage sixth two runs back then improved last start but found a couple better over 6f at this track, beaten 7 lengths after being prominent at the bend. Perfectly placed and is sure to be there at the finish. HALF THE BATTLE (3) is a six-start maiden who was close to a win before a six months break, finishing off with a minor placing at this track (Dirt). Can pick up where he left off. Solid top-three hope.
