EIRIK RIDGE (2) is a three-start maiden who filled a minor placing at Ellis Park (Dirt) at the last run before lay-offing. Expect it has come on over the break. Well placed and happy to have its on top. GREAT RUNNER (3) was beaten for early speed and didn't come into contention when a disappointing sixth over 1m1/2f at this track (Dirt) most recently. Likely improver with strong prospects. BETTERA (4) is back after a break of nine months. At the last run before the layoff he finished fifth over 7f at Keeneland (Dirt). Nicely placed and can get off the mark. PRACTICALLY DARK (1) is a nicely bred three-year-old colt making his first appearance at the races. By Practical Joke from Midnight Magic who has produced some fine gallopers, including winners at black type level. Importantly has a nice gate and is ready to run well.
