SIR RANDOLPH (9) showed good early dash last time out and led for most of the way before being claimed and finishing one length away in second over 1m at Sunshine Coast. Well-placed and is going to prove tough to run down. ALWAYS HUNTING (1) has been in the placings at his last two, most recently when second over 1m at Moree at his third run back from a break. Goes well over this trip, filling a placing at all four starts, including a win and is right in this. VERMEER (14) is yet to break through in three runs. Finished seventh at his last appearance over 1m1/2f at Gold Coast on December 9. Finds the right race and is worth consideration. ENVIABLE (4) was beaten 4. Best efforts measure up so worth another chance.
