ZAKIYYA (8) has filled a minor placing at both runs this time in work, working home in good style at the most recent outing to finish second over 6¾f at Doomben. Overdue and gets her chance to break through. BIRMINGHAM (20) raced on the speed and kept going to score by 2.5 lengths last time out over 7f152yards at Gold Coast Poly. Will be up on the speed from the low draw. Meets some better types this time but another big run will not surprise. NEOCLASSICISM (7) turned in a strong run last time when he settled well back before running on hard to be beaten only half a length into second over 5¾f at Gold Coast Poly. Solid top-three prospects. UMETINI (11) resumed over 7f at Sunshine Coast last start and after showing little early speed closed hard to score by a nose. Can figure in the finish.
