Group 3 placegetter HARD TO SAY (1) improved at the second run back from a lay-off last start when second over 6f in the G3 Southern Cross Stakes at Rosehill, beaten 1.75 lengths. Lay-off so he looks very hard to beat. KANAZAWA (10) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 5f at Sunshine Coast, beaten 2.5 lengths. Has a fair record when second up, including three top-three finishes. Fitter this time. Hard to beat in this suitable race. Group 3 placegetter MILLANE (5) returned from a break last start and drifted well back before closing powerfully to score over 6f at this track, getting home by a long neck. Watch for him running on late again. MAHBABY (9) missed the placings two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 6f at Doomben, beaten just half a length. Suitably placed so she can figure again.
