CANTANKEROUS (7) finished a neck from the winner in third on debut last start over 5f at Sunshine Coast. Likely improver so he shouldn't be a maiden for long. WHEEPER (16) faced the starter for the first time and finished fourth last start at Sunshine Coast over 6f, beaten 1.2 lengths. Should progress this time and is expected to feature. BUNDELLA (1) is a four-year-old entire who is having his first run for the Tony Gollan yard. Resumes after finishing fifth at Randwick Kensington at his last run seven months ago. Not seen at the trials but looks nicely placed. Bold showing expected. DEPUTIZE (14) is back after a break of four months. At the last run before the layoff he finished fifth over 6f at Sunshine Coast. Has trialled well leading into this. Nicely placed and can figure in the finish.
