PATRIOTIC KING (1) was well found in the betting last time out but could only manage to finish fifth over 5½f at this track in a disappointing performance. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. WILD BEAU (3) comes here off a break of three months. Scored over 5½f at this track at the start of last prep. Expect him to play a major role. MISS BLACK DIAMOND (4) showed good early muster and fought on to finish third last start over 5½f at Kununurra. This looks a sterner test than last time but on her best form she is one of the chief contenders. SEVEN SECRETS (2) is a five-year-old gelding who is having his first run for the Chris Nash barn. Finished off last campaign with a fourth at Port Augusta four-and-a-half months ago. Hasn't trialled publicly but looks well placed. Has to be respected.
