AWARD ME (7) finished fourth over 5f at Gold Coast when resuming last start, beaten only 2 lengths. Strips fitter and can find winning ways. FORTUNEER (6) drifted back then closed strongly to score as favourite on debut over 5½f at Doomben two-and-a-half weeks ago. Will come on following that run and looks tough to hold out again. WHERE'S THE FIRE (1) is usually thereabouts but finds it hard to win, with only one victory from 10 starts. Was again denied last start when he found a couple better over 6f at this track. In the right race and there is no reason he cannot get the major prize. HER EXPENSE (5) finished second last time over 5f at Gold Coast, beaten 1.5 lengths. Will trim down following recent racing. Likely improver with solid claims.
