TRIUMPHANT TONIC (12) is close to breaking through after two consecutive placings, the latest coming when second over 7f at Gundagai. Looks well placed this line-up so expect another big run. ROMAN HANDS (4) is yet to fill a placing in two runs since resuming from a lay-off, the latest when fifth over 1m at Wagga after he was prominent at the corner. Should be peaking now and is sure to be about the mark. TUNGSTON (5) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 7f at Seymour, beaten 5.5 lengths. Fitter so anticipating a better run this time. FLIGHT OFFICER (10) settled well back and never threatened when eighth over 6½f at Bendigo just eight days ago. No surprise to see him back in form this time.
