PLATINUM WARRIOR (4) led for much of the way before fading right out of it late to finish 4.5 lengths adrift in seventh at Wellington last time out. Likely to take some running down. PHILS COLOURS (1) did a fair job on debut last time out, finishing 0.9 lengths from the winner in second over 6f at Dubbo. Open to improvement and looks a serious contender. DIAMOND SUN (7) missed the frame last time out when fourth over 7f at Wellington. Still a maiden but has been in the money on three occasions. Has recorded three minor placings from seven tries at this distance. Should be poised just off the lead. Sure to be competitive. BRANDYWINE (5) was a long way back last start but hit the line well to finish fourth, beaten 2 lengths, over 6f87yards at Orange. Can feature in the finish.
