CURLIN'S GESTURE (7) is having his first run since winning by 0.3 lengths five-and-a-half weeks ago over 1m at Ellis Park. Has transferred to the Marianne Scherer stable over the break. Rates highly and expected to go well. MO WINNING (3) turned in a fine effort to win by 0.3 lengths at this course and distance when resuming from a layoff last time out. Looks well placed so expect another big run. FLAT ON (10) was prominent at the corner and finished second last start over 1m at Ellis Park (Dirt), beaten 0.3 lengths. Stepping up a level this time but on his best form he is one of the key runners. THE THUNDERER (6) travelled in a rearwards position and failed to live up to expectations over 1m1f at Ellis Park (Dirt) last time out when in the market. That followed a good second the run prior. Must raise the bar but a form turnaround is not out of the question.
