Best form stacks up nicely. Can improve sharply. LAVA LAD (4) finished out of the money two starts back then he settled well back and was beaten 6 lengths when seventh over 6f at Port Lincoln seven weeks ago. Faces an easier assignment so he is likely to play a big role. IRISH MIST (2) is experiencing a long win drought, extended last start when sixth over 6¾f at Port Lincoln. Finds the right race this time and can turn things around. GOLDEN AKEED (3) has not appeared since he finished fifth over 1m1 1/2f at Oakbank on February 9. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race.
